The Westlake Dome
Perched above Lake Austin, this one-of-a-kind dome home — lovingly hand-built in the '70s by the homeowner’s father — is full of soul and good bones. The goal? Make it feel as sunny and welcoming as the view. With a tight timeline and shoestring budget, I gave it a breezy, guest-ready glow-up. We leaned into a mid-century modern vibe softened with cheerful pastels — peachy corals, pale blues, and buttery yellows. Now it welcomes visitors with warm textures, vintage charm, and a big “come on in” energy.
